Rockin' Roll Boyfriend - Part 3

Show time: I was scared as hell! I was wearing a band T - shirt that said 'Chain Letter' on it to support my band that night, black pants, and my good old converse. Jack was driving us all in our bands black and red van. I sat there the whole time, staring nervously out the window while Anna, Kim and Jack all talked like it was no big deal. I stared out my window to the snowy streets of New York, and thought about Tre - wondering if he really liked me, and that sort of thing. Maybe I was starting to like him too, I guess. I didn't want to tell my bandmates or friends this just yet.
"Jennie?" Kim asked me, sitting in the seat behind me, "Why aren't you talking at all?!"
"Huh?" Kim had woken me from my thoughts, and I replied, "I dunno, I'm just nervous about the show."
"Don't be!" said Jack from the wheel, keeping his eyes on the road, "We've done quite a few shows in the time we've been around, probably like eight! This one's no different than any of the others, really. Besides, we're almost there, so chill out!"
The van then stopped abruptly. We were there, and I grabbed my guitar from the very back trunk of the van. It was very cold out, and Green Day wasn't there yet, since we were fifteen minutes early, so we decided to go in the club building on Wayside Avenue. We hung around the lobby for several minutes, anxiously waiting for Green Day. Kim and Jack sat calm on one of the couches, while Anna sat in a chair, tapping a lot. I was pacing like mad, and it was real obvious how nervous I was about this whole deal. When I saw Tre come in first, my heart leaped - I have no clue if it was because I liked him, or if I was anxious to play for my favorite band. It was probably both.
"You ready to rock n' roll?!" Tre asked me, not a bit nervous.
I smiled, not so nervous anymore, "Hell yeah."
We got our equipment onstage. This stage was larger than any we'd ever played on, though probably small compared to what Green Day usually plays on since it was indoors. I plugged my guitar in, and strummed a few chords quickly. People started coming in slowly in groups of two to five each. Eventually, there were ten thousand people at the indoor stadium. Damn, what were Tre, Billie and Mike thinking when they decided to book us?! We're not THAT good yet for ten thousand people - that may be easy for them, but for us, we're only starting out.
Anna started us all out by screaming on the microphone, "Everyone ready to rock on tonight?!"
The crowd cheered back to us in reply, and then Billie Joe came onstage out of nowhere, took the microphone and screamed into it, "This band comes all the way from Philedelphia, and are my new good friends, let's all cheer loud for Chain Letter!"
Then, Billie Joe left back to Green Day who were all there preparing backstage, which is scary because they heard everything we did. I started out the chords to our first song, and eventually wasn't as nervous, and started being my usual wild self onstage. I sang back up in our very last song out of the five we had to play. The crowd cheered and was now very anxious to see Green Day.
"Ok, ok," I said into my microphone, "Hope you enjoyed us, and I just have to say, this is the largest show Chain Letter's ever done, so thank you all! Now, I bet you're real anxious and I don't want to keep you waiting any longer, so here's Green Day for all of you!"
The crowd went wild as Billie Joe, Mike, Tre, and Jason White came out. Right then, Anna, Jack, Kim and I left the stage. Everyone but me went backstage, I stayed out to watch Green Day, and joined the crowd. I know, that sounds pretty stupid, but I couldn't resist! It was my favorite band playing and I just had to watch! The crowd was much more wild for Green Day, and I crowd surfed, that sort of thing. It was just a typical Green Day show, same as all of theirs!

The show was over, we were all backstage: both Chain Letter and Green Day. We were having a sort of after party where we invited several random audience members to join us. We were just dancing around to music on an old stereo Mike brought, hanging out and all that.
"I have to use the bathroom," I said to Kim, who I was talking to at the time, "I'll be back in a second!"

At the same time I was talking to Kim, I didn't realize what Billie, Mike, Tre and Jason White were talking about.
"I love this song! 'Don't wanna be an American Idiot!" Billie Joe sang really bad on purpose.
"That's us, you retard!" Mike said, slapping his friend on the head, not hard, a friendly slap, "God, why are we listening to our own CD?!"
"I don't know, because we're cool like that!" Billie Joe said, then, he turned to Tre, "Hey, could you hand me a beer in the cooler?" Tre was staring at me, "Tre?! HELLO?!" he waved his hands in front of him, then nudged him, "TRE!"
Finally, Tre was alert and said, "Oh! What Billie?"
"What's the matter with you?!" he asked him, "you're like, out of it man! What are you staring at anyway?"
"I - oh, nothing," he said, not looking Billie Joe, Mike, or Jason in the eye.
"Someone's lying!" said Jason, "Tell us, or else!"
"You guys would think I'm retarded or something," he said.
"You all ready are, at times," Mike said, then guessed, "Are you staring at one of the fans you wanna fuck?!"
"Not exactly a fan, well sort of," he said, just hinting who he was staring at.
"OH!" Billie Joe grinned, "I know who you're staring at! I think it's Jennie!"
"Yeah, well, what if I am?!" Tre said to Billie, grinning.
"You like her, don't you?" he said back, "Don't deny it, I saw you staring at her breasts at the pool yesterday. Seriously, if you like her, ask her out, fuck her, I don't care WHAT!"
"I would, but the only problem is she's thirteen years younger than me!" Tre said, "I'm not sure if she'd like that!"
"Wow," Mike said, taking a beer out for Billie Joe instead and one for himself, "Tre Cool is scared to ask a girl out. That's a first!"
"I'd like to see you try on that chick with the huge breasts, and fat ass right THERE!" Tre pointed to one of the fans from the show who had nice breasts, but her butt was pretty big.
"Tre, you retard, NO!" Mike said, drinking his beer, "You know very well I all ready have a girl friend and I don't even know that chick. Just ask Jennie, ok?"
"Fine," and when Tre saw me leaving for the bathroom he pulled me over.

Now, when I was heading towards the bathroom like I said I was earlier, Tre said to me "I, uh, I like you! Do you, well, do you want to go out sometime?!"
Damn! I was so happy for having a good show, I forgot about the fact that Tre might like me! I guess he did, and well, I like him too, supposedly.
I smiled, "Of course I would! You're hot, and I wouldn't turn you down, EVER!"
"You would?" he asked me, smiling, "Serious?! Great, meet me tomorrow afternoon in the hotel lobby, ok? Call my room if you need to talk again or anything! We're staying here in New York on a sort of vacation now for about a week."
"That's great, but seriously, this parties not over yet, so do you want to dance or something?!" I asked him.
"Yeah!" he said, "Let's get this party started!"
I completely forgot about using the bathroom, and didn't care. Tre gave me a beer and we both got quite drunk, well, ok, I got quite drunk, while he was in control more. I couldn't tell my left from my right. Tre was helping me get around a lot, and I could think from what I remember my friends were kind of annoyed at how drunk I was - even Jack who was a little drunk was a little bit annoyed. I don't remember anything that I said, or even did much. It's all kind of a fuzzy memory here.
Once the ten audiendce members we invited had left the party, Anna drove us back to the hotel since she was the only one that wasn't drunk. At the hotel, Tre carried me into my bands room since I was half asleep, despite the fact he was still a little drunk, and set me down on one of the beds.
"Good night, my drunk girl friend," he said to me, and kissed my lips gently, "See you tomorrow in the lobby."
